Synopsis[]

4th grader Max Baxter received two birthday presents from his parents for his 10th birthday. A dog and a belt emblem that can grant powers to both him and the dog. with his new powers, he and his canine companion fight supernatural crime. However, there is more than meets the eye as far as everything is concerned.

Max Baxter/Superkid (Age: 10-15/25, CV: Megumi Ogata/Kappei Yamaguchi and Colleen Clinkenbeard/Todd Haberkorn) - the main protagonist of the series and the son of art moguls Louis and Agatha Baxter. at the beginning of the story he is a 4th grader.
Tomoko Hiragi/Superidol (Age: 18-23/33, CV: Megumi Hayashibara and Laura Bailey) - the main deuteragonist of the series. At her home country of Japan, she was a popular Idol Singer who had powers similar to Superkid. However, her life turned upside down when she failed to foil Louis Baxter's plans. Afterwards, she was used as a test subject for his experimentation. After Magus undid the experiments done on her and Superkid slayed Subhuman in combat. Tomoko chose to resume her career in America and live with Max as his godmother.
Megan Wellstone/Megumin Hiragi/Empath Girl (Age: 10-15/25, CV: Sakura Tange and Luci Christian) - Max's crush and close friend. after the fall of Baxter Enterprise. it is found out she is the long lost sister of Tomoko Hiragi.
Trevor Jelani/Sludge Master (Age: 10-15/25, CV: Ikue Otani/Akira Ishida and Greg Ayres) - Max's best friend.
Arturo Dominguez/Pulverizer (Age: 10-15/25, CV: Wataru Takagi and Brandon Potter) - a classmate of Max, Megan and Trevor. Initially, he used to bully the former two, but later he changed his ways and befriended them. His older sister was abducted by The Shining Sun.
Zenith/Nightwalker (Age: 12-17/27, CV: Noriko Hidaka and Tiffany Vollmer) - the princess and heir apparent of Planet Mars, who while on the surface seeks to find a suitor, in reality she seeks to escape from the harsh conditions of the planetary rule. In her pursuit, she lives with Max and Tomoko.

Louis hides a dark secret. As a young adult, he fought in the underground to gain fame and money. however, he felt unable to push himself towards his limits, so he learned black magic from a shaman called Magus. Afterwards he was able to push himself towards his limits, both physically and mentally. With his passion for art, he used his black magic to make forms of art like no other, earning him a reputation. However, rumors said he used his magic to give life to chattels, and letting them go loose.
